Adobe wants to boost your creativity with agentic AI
Adobe is currently working on AI agents for several of its products, including Acrobat, Express, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
Agentic AI is technology that’s capable of solving complex problems through conversations with users. It not only gives people more control and freedom in what they wish to accomplish, but it also organizes their workflow more efficiently.
“Agentic AI’s potential makes starting from templates feel stale and old-fashioned. For professionals, it offers a pathway to growing their careers by freeing up time to do more of the things only they can do,” the San Jose-based software company says in a blog post.
Later this month, Adobe will introduce its first creative agent in Photoshop with an all-new Actions panel. The tool analyzes a photo and offers suggestions to improve the overall look and quality. For example, it can suggest brightening an image, removing people, adding a Bokeh effect, or replacing the sky for a more dramatic effect. It only requires a few clicks to make these changes.
In addition, Adobe is integrating agentic AI in Premiere Pro to understand all media and help you in the editing process. It can provide suggestions to explore creative options, and it can also help you learn how to perform complex tasks with ease. “We envision a world where you can direct a creative agent to help you refine shot choices, craft rough cuts, assist with color, help mix audio, and more,” Adobe states.
Acrobat is also receiving more agentic AI support capabilities. Adobe is developing custom agents for specific roles, like sales assistants or academic researchers, to help analyze documents, answer questions, or use reasoning to explore more options.
Furthermore, Adobe is working on AI agents for Express, an app that allows users to elevate their visual storytelling by creating videos, flyers, and social media posts. It can help users to create or improve a design without having to learn every aspect of the tool.
The first agentic AI tool for Photoshop will be presented at Adobe’s MAX event in London on April 24. Adobe hasn’t disclosed when the agentic AI tools for its other products will be rolled out. All we know is this will happen “in the coming months.”
