DataDome launches invisible CAPTCHA

A fraud and bot management company has launched Device Check, a new challenge response for customers.
Device Check allegedly can identify 'even the most advanced and evasive bots' from their initial requests, whereas some traditional security tools only catch bots after repeated suspicious behavior.
The tool analyzes device-specific signals, such as requestor environment, automation framework usage, or any bot cloaking techniques, among other factors, thereby 'reducing the frequency of visual CAPTCHAs.'
“Bot attacks continue to grow in sophistication, and can easily mimic human behavior or circumvent CAPTCHAs. This fact, combined with user frustration over traditional CAPTCHAs, is precisely why enterprises need a new approach that pairs robust bot security with frictionless user experiences,” Benjamin Fabre, co-founder and CEO of DataDome, is quoted in the press release.
Fabre insists that CAPTCHAs should never be the first line of defense against bots.
