Hackers claim to have stolen 1.1 TB of Slack data from Disney
The hacking group known as NullBulge says it has stolen over 1.1 terabyte of data from Disney’s Slack server.
According to a post on BreachForums, which was found by HackManac, the threat actor claims that Disney has almost 10,000 channels.
The dataset contains every message and file sent with Slack, but also unreleased projects, raw images and code, login credentials, links to internal APIs and web pages, credit card information, social security numbers, and more.
“Anything we could get our hands on, we downloaded and packaged up. Want to see what goes on behind the doors? Go grab it,” NullBulge states on X.
NullBulge calls itself a hacktivist group and claims to protect artists’ rights and make sure they get fairly compensated for their work.
“Our mission is to enact ways to ensure that theft from artists is reduced and to promote a fair and sustainable ecosystem for creators. Our hacks are not those of malice, but those to punish those caught stealing. Big and small theft, meet the same fate. Be wary where you get content from, because we will work tirelessly to develop and implement solutions that protect the rights and livelihoods of artists in the digital age,” the group declares on its website.
The data breach, if confirmed, could have significant implications for Disney’s upcoming releases, including new Disney content for Fortnite and an unannounced game in the Aliens: Fireteam Elite franchise. This game allegedly is internally known as ‘Project Macondo’ and is said to be launched during the third quarter of 2025.
Disney has not yet responded to the claims of the threat actor.
