ZTE Nubia presents newest high-end gaming smartphone Red Magic 9S Pro
Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE Nubia has launched a brand-new flagship called the Red Magic 9S Pro, a gaming smartphone with ‘game-changing power’.
The Red Magic 9S Pro comes with a 6.8” Full HD+ AMOLED display (1116 x 2480 pixels), a max brightness of 1600 nits and a refresh rate up to 120 Hz. Underneath the hood you’ll find a Qualcomm Snapdragon Gen3 3.4 GHz octa-core processor and Adreno 720 GPU with a frequency up to 1 Ghz.
Depending on the model you’ll get either 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. There’s no card slot for adding external memory. The Red Magic 9S Pro comes with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM.
On the back ZTE Nubia has installed a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP wide camera lens, a 50 MP ultrawide camera lens and a 2 MP camera to add depth to your pictures. On the front there’s a 16 MP second generation under-display camera for shooting selfies.
The Red Magic 9S Pro runs Android 14 with Red Magic OS 9.5 custom skin. The battery packs a capacity of 6500 mAh and supports wireless charging up to 80 watts, which is fully charged in just 35 minutes. Furthermore, the phone has dual nano-SIM, Bluetooth 5.2, 5G connectivity, NFC, optical under-display fingerprint sensor and stereo speakers.
What makes the Red Magic 9S Pro a unique gaming smartphone, is its advanced cooling system. Called the ICE 13.5 Magic Cooling System, the phone has a built-in Cooling Air Duct centrifugal fan with a speed up to 22,000 RPM.
According to ZTE Nubia the cooling system boosts the thermal efficiency by 20 percent compared to previous conductive materials and 30 percent better heat dissipation.
Lastly, the gaming phone has shoulder trigger buttons with 520 Hz touch sampling rate touchpads and fully customizable RGB lighting effects.
The Red Magic 9S Pro comes in four different options: Frost (12 + 256 GB), Sleet (12 + 256 GB), Cyclone (16 + 512 GB) and Snowfall (16 + 512 GB).
The entry-level editions are available later this month and will cost 649 euro. The upgraded renditions will appear in September and have a price tag of 799 euro.
