The report GDTC offers insights into new interactive experiences that modern displays offer for work, creativity and interaction. The high-performance monitor segment is growing explosively – by more than 200 % over the last three years – driven primarily by the new hybrid ways of working. Strong tailwinds are also provided by the increasing presence of VR/AR solutions and growing demands on high pixel density and colour accuracy as well as on higher refresh rates and ergonomics.

"Monitors are not just something you gaze at all day", remarks Elena Markovic, Senior Analyst at GlobalData’s Technology Centre.Today's monitors are an enabler to how we work, enabling multitasking, aiding in the editing of large documents and supporting real-time collaboration.

A Look at Refresh Rate and Response Time Performance Displays from the Gaming and Media User’s Perspective As high resolution content has become more prevalent in consumer environments, many enthusiasts are shifting their focus from pixel density to refresh rates and response times, which together determine a display’s performance in fast paced gaming and media use scenarios.

Ergonomics/Workspace Integration - The monitors can be set to an adjustable stand, with thin bezels and ultra-small sizes that reduce eye fatigue and deliver excellent visuals for everyday use.

Remote workers are not just working remotely, they are working anywhere and at anytime, while being constantly on the go. Hybrid workers are also becoming a new normal.
