iOS app allows real estate browsing from behind the wheel

A Detroit-based real estate and tech company says its app’s users will see the nearest real estate listings through their vehicle’s Apple CarPlay.

Rocket Homes, creators of the app of the same name, said users will get a separate tab with details on nearby houses via their app, accessible in a car.

The app will allow you to browse for houses without leaving the car, substituting polished exterior photos with an actual view of the listing.

The app makers said it would learn user preferences via machine learning capabilities, populating the listings tab with what most appeals to the user. Once at the location, users can contact real estate agents or owners of the property.

“By using the Rocket Homes app through CarPlay, homebuyers are able to visualize what their future could look like in real-time, bringing real estate to life right on the street where buyers could potentially live,” said Eric Prigot, founder and principle real estate agent at The Collective Team at Compass.
