Samsung launches Galaxy Watch FE smartwatch

Samsung has unveiled a brand new smartwatch called the Samsung Galaxy Watch Fan Edition (FE). The watch will be available globally later this summer for 219 euros.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE offers users an advanced wellness experience thanks to its health and fitness monitoring features that deliver personalized and actionable tips. Samsung’s BioActive Sensor also helps you to monitor your sleep patterns and create a sleep-friendly environment.

Furthermore, the sensor scans your heart rate and detects high or low heart rates. In addition, users can get a deeper understanding of their heart health by monitoring blood pressure and ECG.

Users can track more than hundred different workouts with the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE. For example, it gives runners an advanced running analysis to help them improve their overall performance and set their own goals based on their physical capabilities.

Body Composition is a feature that provides comprehensive body and fitness data to track progress. In order to motivate users to achieve their goals, the Galaxy Watch FE can send motivational messages.

Samsung Galaxy Watch FE specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE mostly has the same technical specifications as the Samsung Galaxy Watch5, which was launched in 2022. The latest addition has a 1.2 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 396 by 396 pixels.

The smartwatch is powered by an Exynos W920 dual-core processor with clock speeds up to 1.18 GHz, assisted with 1.5 GB of RAM memory and 16 GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 247 mAh, which should last one or two days on a single charge. The watch is IP68 dust and water resistant and is compatible with Android 11 or higher.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE supports a wide range of connectivity, such as Bluetooth 5.3, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS. That means you can pay for purchases, access identification cards such as a driver’s license or student ID on your smartwatch, and locate your phone with the Find my Phone feature on the watch.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will be available this summer in three colors: Black, Pink Gold and Silver. It has a price tag of 219 euros.
