Let me put it literally: YIFY is my favorite torrent site. I want to share my experience using it, give you a list of official proxies and suggest the best alternatives in case it gets blocked.

YIFY (currently YTS, which stands for YIFY Torrent Solutions) is the most popular torrent site in 2022. More than 50 million users visit it every month (according to SimilarWeb), which is almost 2 times more popular than the giant The Pirate Bay.

The site has specialized in free video content since 2010. In 2015-2016, it experienced two blockages, a change of owners and a global restructuring of functionality.

Today it is one of the most stable torrent site and is less likely to be blocked at the domain level than most competitors.  

What's so great about YTS?

Many reviewers believe this is due to the sheer amount of material available. This is certainly true. But YTS is unlikely to have a more extensive library than EZTV, which, in addition to movies, offers an extensive collection of software, music, and games, or the number of seeds. But this is only a consequence of popularity.

I'll tell you why I like YTS. This is the most user-friendly torrent platform I've tested. The site has incredibly easy navigation and great attention is paid to visualization.

The main URL of the YTS website is yts.mx.

I am aware of cases where people run into problems accessing YIFY / YTS. This could be in the case of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) blocking due to local laws, or global blocking of the YTS domain. So, in recent years, the domains yts.re, yts.to and tsstatus.com have been blocked.

No matter how developed and popular the torrent site is, it is outside the legal field. In most cases, these sites have links to torrents that illegally distribute copyrighted video material.

Also, in some countries, websites are prohibited through which you can watch prohibited films (for religious, moral, or political reasons).

So yts.mx won't open for you.

How do I access the site?

There are two methods proven by hundreds of thousands of users:

1. Find a working proxy site.
2. Use a VPN

The first method is easier and faster, but I don’t recommend it if the site is blocked by your ISP.
